"Booking my trip with Chris and Ride Japan is one of the better decisions I have made in my life. It's hard to explain the experience, other than a hell of a lot of fun with the whole crew! The riding zones were un-tracked and endless, with perfect tree spacing and lots of choice on the steepness we wanted to ride. Clayton and the staff at the Black Diamond lodge were awesome, providing a great vibe, food and drink to come back to at the end of each day. The overall culture and kindness of the people in Japan was amazing, and we were so lucky to have local guides to really show as around in the back country! Can't wait to go back, Kanpai!"

"After an air scooter blast (plane ride) across the big pond to Japan, we found ourselves emersed in a culture that not only spoke very little English, but was very different from our own. Everyone was smiling and trying hard to help us in any way we needed. The language barrier was intimidating however it was shockingly not as hard as one might think. Another two hour drive and we were at our new home, Black Diamond Lodge for the week (owned by a amazing cat from Edmonton named Clayton). Lodge = simple yet exactly what we needed. Once we hit our first riding zone it was apparent that we were pioneering a new type of activity in the backcountry of Japan. There are a few locals who definitely can shred some powder but not only are they a needle in a haystack, the haystack is large enough that you might not see another backcountry rider your entire trip. The food was amazing start to finish even from the 7/11 corner stores. Bet you never thought you’d buy sushi from a gas station… you can and it’s good!! The real question you might ask is “Is it worth it?”, and “Would you go back?”… Yes and YES, and YESSSSS!! Thanks Chris for making this trip a reality! Worth EVERY penny, and I will be coming back!!"
