Tyler was born in Kelowna BC, at the age of 3 he moved to a small town in the Rockies called Elkford. Elkford had its own little ski hill and he started skiing at the age of three and thus began his love of the snow! When he was 15 his family relocated to Calgary, AB where he went to high school and as soon as he was done he started his journey west. Tyler spent three winters in Banff and a winter in Revelstoke before finding himself in Pemberton, BC. After a few years of being in Pemberton he discovered the amazing backcountry while working for the local Cat skiing operation and knew he had to get a sled so that he could access all the amazing terrain we have. One day while out riding with some Pros he discovered what could actually be done on a snowmobile. From that point on he started pushing himself and developed his technical skills. The following season he got noticed by the Slednecks filmer and hasn’t looked back since! He now rides in the Slednecks and 509 video series. “I love snowmobiling, I love being in the mountains in deep powder and I get to live in the best place in the world, Whistler!”

Tyler also has extensive professional avalanche and wilderness first aid training.
